Wasn’t done celebrating I guess…
just swung by Asos and River Island, and picked out a few more things. Who needs a ‘work/life balance’ when you can buy things and listen to music.
**ed note: went ahead and update this post for those of you keeping track.
People keep asking me if I like working at my new store…
You know that twilight zone episode where a room full of pig-faced doctors are telling this blonde bombshell that unfortunately the plastic surgery was unsuccesful and they couldn’t ‘fix’ her so she’s being exiled to this, like, compound or something so she can be around all of the other disfiguringly ugly people, and she bursts into tears and like Rock Hudson or some shit comes in to whisk her away, and you, as the viewer are all like ‘whuck’?
Yeah, it’s kind of like that.
things have been so ridiculously crazy as of late, in the past five weeks I have:
- worked approximately 74 hours of overtime
- inherited another store (which means I’m now the VM for two locations)
- got in a car accident
- bought a new car
- fired a girl
- hired two more (for other stores in the district)
- promoted three others (in my store)
- gotten a new boss (and become best friends with her)
- already had to get an oil change on the car I just bought because of all the travelling for work
- spent close to $2000 on clothes and stuff for the house (emphasis on clothes)
- completely moved out of the old house
- hired a team of people to go through an organize everything for an estate sale (which will be taking place next weekend)
- done my first load of laundry in probably 5 months (I just keep buying clothes when I run out of clean ones, don’t get me started on my closet situation)
and now I’m sitting here catching up on dash and three weeks of tv (god bless the internet) avoiding business expense paperwork I have to fill out because of all the driving continuously forgetting to fill out the online form to get a passport and figure out how to get the process expedited (more on this later).
